The 17th European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP) Conference has successfully concluded in Helsinki, Finland, bringing together 889 delegates from 49 countries to share the latest research and practice in occupational health psychology. The conference closed with a celebration of outstanding contributions to the field through the presentation of several Academy awards.
Congratulations to this year’s award recipients:
1. Eusebio Rial-González Innovation & Practice Award in Occupational Health Psychology.
This award recognises researchers or practitioners who have produced an innovative body of work that makes a considerable, practical impact in occupational health psychology.
- Professor Ari Väänänen (Finnish Institute of Occupational Health, Finland).
- Dr Magdalena Warszewska-Makuch (Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute, Poland).
2. Andre Bussing Memorial Award for Early Career Researchers
This award honours high-quality research conducted by an Early Career Researcher (ECR) who submits a paper to the EAOHP conference. It is open to researchers within eight years of completing their PhD who demonstrate excellence and a substantial contribution to OHP.
- Ivana Vranjes (Tilburg University, Netherlands).
3. Best Poster Awards
These awards recognise outstanding poster presentations that demonstrate excellence in research quality, innovation, and effective communication of occupational health psychology research.
- Trajectories of Afterwork Alcohol Use among Employees: An Examination of their Nature, Predictors, and Outcomes by Jérémy J.C. Thomas (Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, Reims, France).
- Strengthening Emotional Labor Competence in Customer Interactions: Concept and Evaluation Design of a Digital Training Program for Service Workers by Louisa Scheuttke (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany).
- Tough Day Ahead? The Role of Morning Reattachment in Dealing with Anticipated Job Demands by Anna Luca Mackenbach (Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany).
