The European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP) is proud to have contributed to the new International Labour Organization (ILO) global report The Psychosocial Working Environment: Global Developments and Pathways for Action, launched to mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work 2026.
The report highlights how the design, organisation and management of work—and the wider policies that shape working conditions—play a critical role in protecting workers’ health, safety and wellbeing. Moving beyond a reactive focus on harm, it emphasises the importance of preventive, evidence‑based approaches to creating healthy psychosocial working environments across sectors and regions.
EAOHP’s contribution reflects the Academy’s long‑standing commitment to bridging research, policy and practice in this field. It builds directly on the Geneva Partnership Commitment, launched in 2025, through which EAOHP and international partners committed to strengthening global cooperation, evidence‑based policy and practical tools on psychosocial risks and mental health at work.
The report launch brings together ILO constituents, ministers and international experts, reinforcing EAOHP’s role as a key scientific partner in shaping global dialogue and action on psychosocial risk prevention.
